The Legend of Prambanan Temple

Prambanan Temple

Once upon a time, there was a big kingdom named Prambanan which the people lived peaceful in. What happened then? Prambanan kingdom was attacked by the other kingdom, Penging kingdom, and the peace of Prambanan kingdom was destroyed. The soldiers of Prambanan kingdom could not face the enemies; accordingly, Prambanan kingdom was held by Penging kingdom which the leader was Bandung Bondowoso who was the cruel king; moreover, if there was someone not to do his command, he would give a punishment.

When Bandung Bondowoso was walking around Prambanan kingdom, he saw Roro Jonggrang who the princess of Prambanan kingdom and he was interested in her or the other words, he was falling in love with her. Without thinking twice, Bandung Bondowoso decided to ask her to marry with himself.

“What a beautiful you are! Will you marry me, my princess?”, said Bandung Bondowoso to Roro Jonggrang.

Roro jonggrang was shocked to hear that and she thought the way how to refuse his asking. The following minutes, she got an idea in order that Bandung Bondowoso could not marry with her.

“Ok, I will, but I don’t do it for free”. Roro Jonggrang answered.

“Excuse me, I beg your pardon?” Bandung Bondowoso didn’t understand what Roro Jonggrang said.

“I have a requirement. You must make 1000 temples in a night”. Roro Jonggrang explained.

Bandung Bondowoso felt worried about her requirement; additionally, he asked his adviser how to make 1000 temples in a night. His adviser said that he could make 1000 temples in a night with evils help. In that night, he prepared the equipment to make temples and the evils did it.

After a few moments, the evils could finish 999 temples. Roro Jonggrang who saw it didn’t believe her eyes and looked for an idea so that the evils could not finish on time. Roro Jonggrang requested Lady Maid to burn straw as it would look like breaking dawn which the evils were afraid of. She made it! The evils who tried to finish the last temple saw the straw burnt and thought that the sun would rise; furtherwise, it would burn their body; hence, they ran. Bandung Bondowoso was surprised to see what the evils did; nevertheless, he guessed the evils had finished those.

The following day, Bandung Bondowoso who felt proud of himself as he thought he could complete what Roro Jonggrang wanted invited Roro Jonggrang to look at the temples. Roro Jonggrang who knew what had happened accounted the temples with feeling free.

“Those were only 999 temples.”  Roro Jonggang said.

Bandung Bondowoso didn’t believe his ears and looked at Roro Jonggrang then, with feeling angry, he said “You must be the complement!” Suddenly, Roro Jonggrang became a statue which completed the thousandth temple.

Nowadays, that we can see the temple which is one of the tourism places in Yogyakarta is the Prambanan Temple.

  4. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the , but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

(There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
